VA-Cave Spring Piggie Rescue-New Piggies

Cave Spring Piggie Rescue has a whole bunch of cavies available for adoption, some I haven't featured yet, others I have. Please visit their website or browse this site to see their other pigs.

LISTING REMOVED. Sadie and Chester have had a hard time of it. These pigs were in a faux-forever home for two years before returning to the rescue. I would guess from the listing that they didn't have the best time with their adoptive parents. Now they need a real forever home. It's going to be a special home that's allowed to adopt these two. Deceiving a rescue about your ability to care for animals is despicable. Sadie and Chester are a well bonded pair--Sadie is outgoing and sweet, Chester is sweet also, but not as outgoing. They are three years old, and Sadie is spayed.

LISTING REMOVED. Percy sounds very cute. He is a four month old red abby boy. Cave Spring quite literally saved his life, as well as the next boy I'm listing. Their owner bought the two boys to the vet to have them euthanized. No, the boys weren't sick. They were just too much for the owner to care for. So he dropped them of to die. Luckily the vet cvontacted Cave Springs, and they were able to rescue the piggies. Both he and Remus (below) need a special adopter. They are shy and not quite socialized to people. Understandably!

The Animal Welfare League of Arlington already has three guinea pigs available for adoption, some of whom have been around for a surprisingly long time considering their adorability factor. MD-Montgomery County Humane Society-Bonded Boars

If you're not a fan of red eyes (something which always confuses me, as a pig's personality comes first with me), the red eyesx may be either enhanced or created by the flash. MD-Small Angels-New and Old

More small angels from Small Angels! After featuring the latest three, I'm going to post pictures of the others at the bottom. Click on them to go to their Petfinder page.

LISTING REMOVED. Consuelo is a beautiful boy. He's one year old and of medium size. His mother was sold to a family from a pet store--they didn't know that with their piggy, came--Consuelo! And so he was sent to the rescue. He loves lap time and floor time, especially if it involves burrowing in hay (gps need an unlimited supply, for multiple medical reasons). Consuelo has been neutered, so he's looking for a lady friend with whom to share his pellet bowl. Do you know of such a gal?



ADOPTED! Stefir is such a handsome, personable looking boy. He is a youngin' too, only five months old. He loves racing around and popcorning, but he is in that teenage phase where he's a bit grumpy/aloof/disdainful about being picked up. Once he's in your lap though, he is a sweetie. He's looking for a buddy, and since he's neutered, he could be potentially paired with a lovely girl you may have at home. Stefir came to the rescue from the local shelter. He really deserves some pampering!

LISTING REMOVED. Benito is a young active boy who is still learning how great it is to be a pig! He is just six months old, and he came from an animal shelter in a sad condition--far too thin. But now the Small Angels team is working on fattening him up. He is very active and, suprisingly for his age, quite easy to pick up, pet and cuddle. This boy needs a new start in life, and he's looking for a lady friend with him to start anew.

Sterling, VA: Patches and Oreo need a new home. They are less than a year old and being rehomed because of allergies. Patches is a multi-colored boy, and Oreo is black and white. They are sweet, adorable boy. Patches is the more vocal of the two, and Oreo is more reserved. They come with their cage, water bottle, bedding, pigloo, food, bowl and vitamin drops . If these dear piggies are either soon to go through adolescence, or are in the midst of it right now, it's especially important that they have a large C&C cage, multiple places for each boar to hide, and two of everything.

Humane Society of Charles County has a LISTING REMOVED. gorgeous piggie. It doesn't say whether this abby is a boy or girl, but s/he is beautiful. The piggie is socialized to people, calm, and appears to be an adult. Oooh, I love this piggie! Worrisomely, it looks like there's a honey stick in the cage. These are not good for piggies, even though the petstores market them as such.

So I go to check my links the other day, and realize that I never posted three of Noah's Ark Foundation's guineas. I posted their guinea who has a pending application, but not the three who haven't been applied for! And they've been there for months.
