MD-Montgomery County Humane Society-Sow

LISTING REMOVED. Montgomery County Humane Society has a brand new sow named Cindy, and she is a cutie who just needs some grooming.

She is a four month old girl who is used to being handled, but hasn't had regular floor time for exercise. She was given up because of allergies. This girl needs some love. And a brushing so she can back to her usual beautiful self!

VA-Norfolk SPCA

The Norfolk SPCA has three guinea pigs available for adoption, two of whom I have already featured, but shockingly are still there. Adopt these beauties! They've been too long with out a home to call their own.

ADOPTED!
This is a new picture of Betty, who for some reason now has two listings. I'll leave those of you who fall in love with her to sort it out. She is a young sow of medium size, and she is wearing a cute black mask!

NO LONGER AVAILABLE. Napoleon looks like a wise old boar to me, but he is actually young and spry. He is so sweet looking!

LISTING REMOVED. Guinea Pig is a small young...guinea pig, whose sex is unknown. Seems odd. If anyone can figure this out please post here. Boy or girl, this pig is cute! UPDATE: GP's a boy!

VA-Noah's Ark Foundation

So I go to check my links the other day, and realize that I never posted three of Noah's Ark Foundation's guineas. I posted their guinea who has a pending application, but not the three who haven't been applied for! And they've been there for months. My apologies to the Dale City guinea pigs of Noah's Ark Foundation.

LISTING REMOVED. Eevee is one of the most adorable boys on Petfinder, in my opinion. He is a ten month old abby looking for a forever home. He can be shy at first, but warms right up. He needs a family who has a lot of time for him. This is a boar to make time for!

LISTING REMOVED. Cutie is a very adorable and appropriately named sow. She is two years old and a small girl, who, like Eevee, can be shy but warms up to you. She loves to eat, and is a sweet, lovable, laid-back girl.

LISTING REMOVED. Lickity is a three pound, two year old sow. She's a dominant girl who likes her alone time, and likes to spend time outside munching on safe grass. She sounds like a fun guinea, and I can venture from her photo that she's a cute guinea too!

LISTING REMOVED. Dundalk, (near Baltimore), MD: a guinea pig being given up because poster's daughter no longer plays with him. He is a nice pig who comes with his food, cage, and other supplies for a too-small adoption fee. Not a happy holiday for this boy.

Let's Give Thanks! (SCROLL DOWN FOR NEW PIGS)

My pigs enjoying their T-day meal

I'd like to take a moment to say thank you to all of the rescues and shelters I have listed in the past month. Please consider thanking them as well. Whether it be an email of admiration, a monetary/financial donation, or scheduling to volunteer, the people behind these links are heroes to animals and adopters. When available, I'm going to link to a donation page which will link to info on financial donations, material donations, and donations of your time. Anything you can do to help will be a help. In the hopes that someone will see this and send a thank you, I want to say my appreciation to you. Thank you for helping homeless animals and the people who care for them daily.

My tip is to pick either your local rescue/shelter, or the rescue/shelter which houses your favorite guinea pig(s), and send them a thank you, in whatever form. If a group doesn't have a help link by it, that probably means information on helping is on the homepage. Let's Give Thanks!

VA-Fairfax County Animal Services-Boar

LISTING REMOVED. I can't get over how cute Fester is. He is officially one of my favorite guineas I've featured on both sites. He is a cutie patootie! He's with Fairfax County Animal Services, and they think he's seven months old. If I put up a PayPal button would you readers donate me enough money to get a house, a new C&C cage, vegetables, health care, and other necessities for nine guinea pigs? Sleep on it.

Look at those flippy little ears! Oh he is such a cute Guinea Bear.

MD-Tri-County Animal Shelter-two bonded pairs

Tri-County is a Maryland shelter which serves Charles County, St. Mary's County, and Calvert County. Several years ago the shelter had to house several hundred guinea pigs because of a seize from a hoarder. They just have four guinea pigs right now, which I can guess confidently are a lot easier to care for. It's still just as hard for these guinea pigs who aren't yet in their forever homes.

LISTING REMOVED. Joan and Bailey are a bonded pair of young sows. Joan is black and white and one year old, and Bailey is a six month old blonde and white girl. They are both so beautiful. RENAMED: Lola and Vanna.

LISTING REMOVED. Boar and Willie are two blonde and white boars. They're six month old and medium sized handsome guys.

LISTING REMOVED. Guinea piggy in Baltimore needs new home. This beautiful girl is named Grape, and she is sweet and lovable. The poster does not have enough time for her, between work and being a single mother, and so she has to rehome her for a reasonable adoption fee. It includes her cage (too small), pigloo, water bottle, and hay. She is a sweetie pie, as far as I can tell from her photo.

MD-GPAN-young sow

A new listing on the Guinea Pig Adoption Network brings us to Baltimore.

Princess Nago is a six month old sow who needs a new home because her owner no longer has time to play with her. Adopt her and get her a friend! She has a black coat with smaller tan markings. She has longer hair with cowlicks (sound likes an abby). She is healthy and loves lap time, though she can be shy. She's cuddly and inquisitive post-cuddling.

MD-Chesapeake Bay Guinea Pig Rescue-Boar

ADOPTED! Sherman is the latest Chesapeake Bay Guinea Pig. He is a cute young boy, black with a red face and patches, and some white here and there. Sherman is curious, affectionate and very healthy, both in appearance and in fact. He loves nose scritches and being pet, and it sounds like he is a favorite of the rescue. He's a special boy looking for a special home.

Heads Up

I might not be able to post much today, as I'm going to D.C. to pick up two guinea pigs from a shelter, on behalf of the rescue for which I foster. These girls were found in a box by a dumpster with a "Fr33" sign. They won't show up on Petfinder, Petharbor, or the shelter's website. They are just two out of thousands of invisible and homeless guinea pigs. The ones who I post are a small fraction of those in need. Of those I post only a small fraction will get adopted.

Today feels like a good day to help a homeless animal.

Ms. AAGP takes a sick day

Please do not think that today's lack of posting means a lack of homeless guinea pigs. I'm just sick like you wouldn't believe today. Go through the archives, revisit some old faces--many of the hundreds of guinea pigs I've posted are still available for adoption.
