VA-Roanoke Valley SPCA-Mother and babies, Young female

Roanoke Valley SPCA; VA: ADOPTED! Mom and Babies and ADOPTED! Paula!

Momma apparently had some babies with no warning on March 2nd. This really can happen--keep a careful eye on your guineas. And if you bought guineas from a petstore, there are high anecdotal odds that they might be pregnant, have mites, or a URI. As for these pups, be armed with this link: Boy or Girl?

Paula is a one year old young short hair girl who is shy and needs a loving home, willing to give her time to learn to love them back. And one that will give her feed without corn in it--shelters do what they can, and it makes for a great reason to donate a bag of Oxbow to the local humane society!

LISTING REMOVED Upper Marlboro, MD: Another Christmas purchase to Craigslist posting. Two guinea pigs being rehomed sex not specified. Since they came from the petstore, you will probably want to double check the sex anyway. One pig is white with black and orange, and the other one is brown and looks like a squirrel (maybe a teddy?). They are being rehomed due to the present owners being unable to commit to the amount of work associated with guinea pigs.

They come with a TV hutch the deluxe cage sits in, as well as a large number of toys, trinkets, grooming supplies, treats, play pens, carrying bags, sleeping bags, etc. Bad news for the poster, a large number of these things are probably either completely ignored by the pigs, or toxic for them. GUINEA PIG LESSON: Guinea pigs are perfectly happy playing with a cardboard box or toilet paper roll (sans toilet paper), or a crumpled up paper bag. The pet stores create toys that either have small metal parts, or toxic materials in the "edible" toys, for a profit, when the best guinea pig toys can be found for free in your home!

LISTING REMOVED. Virginia Beach Shore Drive, VA: Two male guinea pigs purchased at a petstore with a one week turn around to being rehomed on CraigsList because "our daughter just scares them." Rehoming fee asked for everything everything pictured. Please don't use the edible bridge and and log, they can be toxic and have metal parts. Also comes with food, bedding, cage ( Cheaper, Larger Cages ) and water bottle.

MD-Humane Society of Baltimore County-Adult Boar

Humane Society of Baltimore County; Reisterstown, MD: LISTING REMOVED Patches!

Patches is a two year old lovable boar. He loves attention and is easy to handle (I imagine as compared to other guinea pigs, they all have their moments where they need a steady hand). He is very sweet, loves green beans, and is a cute boy waiting for his forever home!

MD-Chesapeake Bay Guinea Pig Rescue-New pigs

Chesapeake Bay Guinea Pig Rescue; Annapolis, MD: Tyler, Noah & Jack, and Onyx and Skye!

Tyler, Noah and Jack are three very sweet young brothers who were surrendered to animal control because their owners could no longer afford to keep them. They are initially skittish, but calm and friendly once they are bing held. They love hay and carrots (which should only be fed on occasion). They are quickly fitting in with the rest of the pigs at the rescue. CBGPR is willing to adopt out two of the pigs, and find a friend for the remaining third pig.

Onyx and Skye are beautiful girls, with shiny black hair with white accents. They were also surrendered to Animal Control. They are very healthy and bright, and very self assured. They are the leaders of their herd. The girls are about four months old. "Onyx has a white band on her shoulder and a blaze on her chest, and Skye has a white stripe on her nose with bands of white and cream on her side. They love their Timothy hay and carrots, but haven't figured out leafy greens yet. These sisters would benefit greatly from some one-on-one tender loving care in a forever home."
