MD-Small Angels Rescue-Bonded Adult Males

Small Angels Rescue; Foster home network centering in Frederick, MD: Alwin and Darsy!

Alwin and Darsy are an adorable (matching), bonded adult pair of neutered male guinea pigs. Alwin is the boy on the left and Darsy is the boy on the right. They came to the rescue because their previous owner's roommates did not wish her to keep them. These boys have been well cared for since day one, enjoying healthy vegetables and unlimited hay. They are very bonded and must be adopted together.

Alwin recently went through a surgery to remove a cyst from the skin of his tummy, "it was not causing him any distress, but we prefer to have cysts removed in case they become a nuisance." Sounds smart!

MD-Small Angels Rescue-Adult Coed Pair

Small Angels Rescue; foster networks stemming outward from Frederick, MD: ADOPTED! Imelda and Maxx!

Such cute-hearts! Imelda is a beautiful short haired black and white *crested* girl, with one black ear and one pink ear--so cute! Maxx is a neutered boy, agouti brown, ginger and white with handsome dark eyes. They are quite bonded, active and love to chase about their cage, but enjoy lap time as well. They are being rehomed together because their family is moving and can't bring them along. Poor family. Poor piggies!

MD-Animal Advocates of Howard County-Young/Adult Male (Very Handsome!)

Animal Advocates of Howard County; Ellicott City, MD: ADOPTED! Ron!

What a handsome fellow! His profile says young, but his bio says adult, so we'll go with young adult. He is very fond of people, and squeaks as soon as they enter the room. He's a little nervous around new people but gets used to them pretty quickly. He seems like a lovely pig!

Important section from Ron's bio:

He is a cute little boy who lived with children and he even liked the dog and cat he lived with. He was purchased from a pet shop for a child. When their child lost interest in him, he was brought into animal control because they didn’t want him anymore. Ron hopes that everyone will take and spread his story. When animals are purchased as pets, you commit to that animal’s lifetime. We need to teach our children that pets are not dispensable when they loose interest, they still need care and love, just like people.

VA-Virginia Beach Animal Control Bureau-Two males, one female

Virginia Beach Animal Control Bureau; Virginia Beach, VA: LISTING REMOVED. Two male guinea pigs and a LISTING REMOVED. Female guinea pig! As this is an animal control, I would give a general euthanasia worry...just a guess.

The two boys are young and medium sized. It looks like they're being kept in tanks--this creates poor circulation and can lead to a toxic environment over time. Shelters have to make due with their poor funding, it's a great reason to donate! (And of course I may be wrong, I mean no disrespect to the good people at VBACB).

The female guinea pig is a beautiful young girl of medium size. So adorable!

MD-Small Angels-Young Abby Boar

Small Angels Rescue; Foster network stemming outward from Frederick, MD: ADOPTED! Bartolo! FAVORITE PIGGY AWARD!

Bartolo is one of my favorite piggies, hence the award. I've seen him knock around different photos on the shelter website and I'm so happy he's now with a rescue. I'd be so happy to see him with an "Adopted!" label.

He was rescued from the shelter where his family had surrendered him because they had no time for him. Poor Bartolo! He is a neutered ginger and white Abby boy, which means he could be boyfriend to your girl!

"He is shy and requires gentle handling, but once on your lap, he enjoys a cuddle." This boy deserves the most loving of forever fomes. Good luck Bartolo!

SCROLL DOWN FOR NEW PIGS

March is National
Adopt a Guinea Pig Month!

Celebrate it by doing just that! Providing you have the resources and preparation to bring a guinea pig (and a friend) into your home--April's okay too :) (It doesn't have to be the cruelest month after all).

Our beautiful guinea model is a beloved guinea girl from GuineaLynx named Meimei. Her person is a beloved GuineaLynx member named Cutemomomi. Meimei has passed over the Rainbow Bridge, but she will never be forgotten. If you would like to learn more about the wonderful life Meimei lived with Cutemomomi, and her wonderful guinea pals, it is chronicled here, here and here. Thank you Momo for permission to use her dear girl's image.
