MD/VA/DC-Metropolitan Guinea Pig Rescue-New Girl Pigs and Pair

Metropolitan Guinea Pig Rescue, MD/VA/DC: New Girl Pigs and a pair! ALL PIGS SPAYED AND NEUTERED! (Post on males to follow).

This is the fabulous rescue for which I foster, and they are always looking for new foster homes. I'm going to cheat and just quote their bios from their site.

UPDATE:

Sugar Lips is six months old. "What a sweet face on this little girl. Those little pig lips look like shes just been nibbling on a powdered sugar confection. While we don't think that would be a great idea for any of our pigs one can always imagine. Sugar Lips will need to be adopted as a friend for your guinea pig or with one of ours. She is a young lively girl that will need someone to romp with."

Cinnamon is one year old. "This is a sweet natured pig that was taken into our rescue with a new litter. Much to our surprise she was already pregnant again. I think this girl needs a long vacation and a forever home with lots of hugs and cuddles."

Fawn is six months old. "Fawn is a lively youngster that just loves to get out and run around at floor time. Shes not afraid to let you know when it's dinner time either. A tad shy with people still she has no problem bossing around her cage mates. She does enjoy having someone to boss around so she will need to be adopted with one of our pigs or as a friend for yours."

ADOPTED! Fudge is five months old. "This girl is super fast. We probably should have named her Stealth. She likes running with her cage mate Cali and will need to be adopted with another pig or as a companion to yours."

ADOPTED! Cali is five months old. "Cali has markings much like a calico cat. She also looks totally different from each side. She likes to play with her cage mate Fudge and just adores the rattle of veggie bags. This sweet young girl needs a forever home with a piggy to play with as well as a human or two to fall in love with."

Cupid is four months old. "Cupid was born in our care the day before valentines days. She is a sweet lively girl and will need a companion pig to play and grow with. She will be a wonderful friend for your pig or adopt her with another one of ours."

ADOPTED! Gilda is a four month old crested short hair. "Gilda is the sister of Angus and koogan. The trio was dropped-off at the shelter with their mom when they were only a week old. Gilda loves other pigs and loves to be held, but is not active within her cage. She must be adopted with another pig."

UPDATE:

Star is a nine month old abby girl. "Star is a beautiful, multicolored Abbysinian who came to MGPR still nursing her two babies, Leon and Michelle. Star loves to romp in the grass with her two babies, and is happy to eat most anything you give her. At first she was a bit shy, but has grown more and more calm, allowing the adoring neighborhood children to pet her. Ideally, she would be adopted out with Michelle, but at the very least as one of a pair."

ADOPTED! Miss Marple is a former foster of mine! She's a four month old girl. I named her Miss Marple because she's so tiny and curious and cute. "Miss Marple is a beautiful girl with remarkable coloring. Malnourished when we took her in, Miss Marple will most likely be on the small side for her entire life. However she has developed into a true cuddle bug with a great out going personality."

Wonka and Tate are a five month old male and female pair, and they "are a wonderfully silly pair!"

ADOPTED! Fluffy is a one year old guinea pig. "Fluffy is a sweet girl with a nice easy going personality. Named after the hugely popular children's books "Fluffy, the Classroom Guinea Pig". She too is a star. She helped represent Balt. Co. Humane Society on one of their tv appearances."

Snowball is a snuggle bug that just loves to cuddle up for lap time. She very much likes the company of other pigs and must be adopted as a companion to yours or with one of ours. She is one year old.

ADOPTED! Sandy has a sweet calm personality. Shes loves lap time and floor time and lots of fresh veggies. She will make a great companion for your male or one of ours. P.S. She also loves a good chin scratch. She is eight months old.

ADOPTED! Isadora Is adorable!!!!! This sweet beauty was born in our care. She is the spitting image of her mother right down to the eye liner around those beautiful eyes. She is playful and active and full of fun. She is more than ready for her very own forever home and a piggy friend to share it with. She can not be adopted as a single. She is two months old and crested!

MY PERSONAL THREE FOSTERS!

Tizzy is a whirlwind of a piggy! She is a very active girl who loves to popcorn and play "piggy spy" with her friends during floor time. Tizzy would be best suited for a guinea-experienced home, and should not be adopted to a home with young children. Lettuce leaves be warned: Tizzy is on the prowl! UPDATE: Tizzy is becoming a total lap pig. Tizzy is five months old

ADOPTED! Hildegard von Beaver-Pig is eight months old. "Hildy is a guinea pig superstar! She has soft, fluffy fur and loves to be pet, so long as you don't mind her climbing all over you. She is a popcorning maniac and absolutely loves floortime. After just a few days with her we knew she must be guinea pig royalty, and so she got her surname. She must be adopted with another guinea pig. She appears to be the mother of Tizzy."

Aimé is a sweetheart piggy girl, who loves lap time as much as floor time, and she loves floor time! She is a champion popcorner, and can't wait to have a pig companion with whom to race and cuddle. Aimé cannot be an only pig. She is six months old.

Metropolitan Guinea Pig Rescue, MD/VA/DC: New boy pigs! ALL PIGS SPAYED AND NEUTERED! (Post on females here).

This is the fabulous rescue for which I foster, and they are always looking for new foster homes. I'm going to cheat and just quote their bios from their site.

ADOPTED! Huggs is a four month old male. "Huggs is a sweet lively boy just as his name implies. Born in our care the day before valentines day, he is very anxious to have his very own forever home with some nice humans and a piggy girl to spend the rest of his life with. Huggs can not be adopted as a single pig."

ADOPTED! Kisses is a four month old male. "What do you think. Can it be pure coincidence that this sweet boy born the day before valentines day has a head that so resembles a Chocolate kiss? This yummy little fellow needs a forever home of his very own with a girlie pig to play away the days with. He can not be an only pig. He must be adopted to pair with your pig or with one of ours."

Rocky is a five month old gray and white agouti. His bio reads: "Rocky is a very outgoing and curious little fellow with very unique coloring. He has lots of energy and loves floor time."

Charlie Chaplin
is five months old. "This debonair guy will surely charm his new owner with his good looks and lively personality. He will need to be adopted as a companion to your pig or with one of ours. If you're wondering, both pictures are of Charlie. How cool is he???"

ADOPTED! Checkers is five months old. "Our picture doesn't show the unique checker pattern on this little fellows back. A long with his great markings he has a lively personality and lots of energy.Floor time and room to run are big favorites of Checkers. He will need to be adopted as a companion to your pig or with one of ours. "

ADOPTED! Squirrel is a three month old male. He's so adorable and earns a FAVORITE PIG AWARD! "What a nice little fellow this is. Take a look at his enchanting face. He is a real heart winner with his unusual coloration and sweet disposition. An active fellow that likes to know whats going on around him. He is very anxious to meet the girl pig of his dreams. He will need to be a cage mate to your girl or with one of ours. "

Angus and Koogan are three month old bonded males who can be adopted together or be adopted individually as mates to your pigs. "Interested in learning Koogan's bluff? He's a sensitive guy! He loves his brother very much and can't stand to have him out of his sight. (For all you movie buffs, that's why our Koogan is special and spelled with a K instead of a C!) Angus, a beautiful Self Black/Chocolate boy, is a true snuggle bug and loves to be cuddled. Both are very inquisitive and love to explore. They love their fresh veggies and will give you reminders each time you open the fridge door! These boys are very active and may not be well suited to a family with very young children"

Bruiser is two months old. " Talk about personality plus. This big guy came into the world thinking he owns it and nothing has changed his mind to date. He is one hundred percent interested in everything going on around him. So much so he can hardly stand to go in his pigaloo to rest. Lap time, floor time, he loves it all. He loves the girls too and will absolutely have to have a female cage mate. "

Leon is a three month old male. "Leon is a completely sweet, calm, beautiful multicolored short haired baby.. he is all of 3 months old, and came to MGPR still nursing from his mom, Star. Leon loves to be held and pet, and should be adopted with another guinea pig. He loves the social interaction of other guinea pigs."

ADOPTED! Foxfur is four months old. "This dapper young lad came in with his brother Badger. They love each other and popcorning. Which is all the time so I'd say this is one happy youngster. He would love to go with his bro or to get married to your single girl piggie. Either way, you will get alot of happy times with this one! In his foster home he thinks his name is Wuzzy or Buddy. "
ADOPTED! Badger is four months old. "This handsome chap came in with his brother Foxfur. Although, his foster family call them Fuzzy and Wuzzy or Fuzzy and Buddy. Whatever you call them, they are love bugs and would love to go together or to get married and live happily ever after. Don't let this pair get away!!!"

ADOPTED! "Gypsy is an absolutely beautiful piggy with a tame personality to match. She is bonded with her daughter Rollo, and they must be adopted together. Gypsy loves to popcorn around the floor during floortime, but will also sit in your lap like a kitten letting you pet her for hours. F 1y 3m"

ADOPTED! "Putter is a mellow little boy. He gets his name because he loves to get out of his cage and putter around the house. His foster mom never knows what he's going to decide to look into next. He loves the girls and will need to be adopted as a friend to your piggy or with one of ours. Putter has a single upper incisor that should not cause him any problems as long as he gets plenty of hay and some chewy sticks. This guinea pig must be paired with another guinea pig. M 6m"

ADOPTED! "Ethel and Lucy are a sweet pair of sisters that have been together a long time and must remain together. They are very gentle and sweet natured. They jump up on the side of their cage eagerly and vocally awaiting first breakfast, and just love to snuggle in for lots of hugs and kisses at lap time. F 2y 4m"

ADOPTED! "Diedre is a lovely girl--and she's very cuddly. She's calm and friendly and would likely get along very well with another pig. F 10m"

"Brindy has become a total cuddle pig, but that doesn't stop her from loving floortime too! She is a very sweet and active piggy. Brindy must be adopted with another pig, however, she has a very type A personality. She would be best suited with an unneutered male or a type B female. This girl has lots of love to give. F 6m"

ADOPTED! "Axl is a beautiful adult male who was recently returned to the rescue because his family moved into an apartment that wouldn't keep him. He loves other pigs and isn't used to living alone. He looking for a nice girlfriend and a home that will keep him forever. M 1y 9m"

ADOPTED! "Baby Angel Face is a very special little lady. She needs to be adopted by an adult or an older teen that is going to spend LOTS of one on one time with her. She is very petite and will not get much bigger. She does enjoy floor time spent with other pigs but she is happiest when perched on her humans shoulder and will happily stay there as long as you will allow it. She is tender of heart and did not eat very much for two weeks after she was surrendered by her owner. It would not be unexpected for the same thing to happen when she leaves her foster home. This sweet girl needs a once and for all forever home and her very own human to own for all time. F 10m"

ADOPTED! "Puff is an active girl that has never considered being anything but in charge of her female cage mates. She loves her food and lets you know it every time you open the fridge. She can be adopted as a companion to your male, or with one of ours. She must have a cage mate in any case." F 5m

ADOPTED! "Valentina is a very sweet girl who came into our rescue very shortly before giving birth on February 13th, hence her sweet name. She is a little shy but still very interested in everything that is going on around her. She very much enjoys the company of other pigs so she will need to be adopted as a companion to yours or with one of ours." F 1y

ADOPTED! "Vera and Ully are rambunctious youngsters with lots of energy." F/M 5m

ADOPTED! "Rabbie and Roxy are a pair of abbies. Rabbie is about a year old (M), Roxy about 4 months (F). They are absolutely devoted to each other, and want to do everything together. Both are very intelligent, and Rabbie is extremely friendly to people--Roxy is a little more shy, but coming around quickly."

ADOPTED! "This adorable guy [Boo Boo] is always ready for a cuddle up. He is very interested in everything that goes on around him and wants piggy friends as well as humans to live with, so he will need to be adopted as a companion to your pet or with one of ours. How about Yogi? He loves to sit on top of his Pigaloo. He even has Yogi doing it now." M 1y

ADOPTED! "Flake is a beautiful girl. She is vocal about her culinary needs and lot's of fun to have around. Adopt her and you can hear the entire story as to why her foster family calls her Baby Rat Face.
