MD-Small Angels-Many Pigs

Small Angels Animal Rescue, Foster Based Rescue in Northern Maryland, new pigs:

ADOPTED! Ruben is a one year old neutered male pig. He was rescued from a local animal shelter, where he was one of many guinea pigs surrendered over the holidays. He is thriving in foster care, eating all his veggies and hay and being quite lively and vocal. Now all he needs is a lady piggy friend! Look at the catch she'd be getting in Ruben:

Hadriel (listing removed, now paired with another pig) is a neutered five month old boar who was also saved from a local animal shelter where far too many guinea pigs had to spend their holidays. Being so young he definitely still prefers that floor time over lap time, but give him time to get all the zoomies out of his system and learn that gentle handling and petting can be fun too. He's loving his pellets, hay, and veggies, and all he needs now is a piggy friend to share his zoomies with!

ADOPTED! Malik and Pasquale are wonderfully cute one year old brothers. Pasquale is the more ginger of the two. Both piggies came to the rescue from the local animal shelter, where they had spent a lonely holiday. Before that the poor pigs had been living in a basement. These pigs are still young guys who love running around and having a good time, but they are learning the ways of The Hand and, even better, The Joys of Petting. They love their hay and veggies, and must be adopted together.

ADOPTED! Jabril and Sirius are also five month old brothers, who sound like they might be from the situation as the boys above. They too were originally living in a basement and then spent the holidays in an animal shelter. Poor guineas. Sirius is the guinea on the left, and Jabril is the guinea on the right. These boys are still fun, young piggies who love to run around, and so they're not too crazy about someone picking them up and making them stay still for laptime yet--but they're getting there. They love hay, and veggies are usually decimated in minutes. They sound like active guinea guys!

ADOPTED! Dani is a neutered young, vocal, vocal young adorable pig. I'm crazy about this guy! Poor Dani spent his short youth living alone in a small cage ignored by his family's children. Now he races all around in his large C&C cage and gets to chat up about most anything. He loves his pellets, hay and veggies, but really is hoping for a lady piggy friend. Do you have one at home looking for an energetic friend?

ADOPTED! Brent & Tilly are a pair that fell in love in foster care. Brent is actually a guy I've loved for a while, and Tilly, the adorable agouti brown teddy girl, is obviously deserving of such a fine piggy fellow. Brent came to Small Angels from a local animal shelter, and had previously lived in a pitifully filthy, tiny cage all by himself in a child's bedroom. Now he gets to spend his days with Tilly (as well as lounging around his huge C&C cage, eating hay and taking naps). Poor Tilly was found abandoned on a sidewalk in a pet carrier. It is remarkable that she is even alive, let alone in love safely in a rescue! She is an active, busy and happy girl.

ADOPTED! Rivello is an adorable young neutered piggie who looks like a pinata who should just be held. He was surrendered to a local animal shelter because of allergies. Rivello has always lived alone and is so excited meeting other piggies in his foster home. As a young boy he loves running around his cage and even climbing on top of his hidey house. He loves pellets and hay, but doesn't quite understand veggies yet, suggesting he might not have gotten any in his old home :( He needs a lady friend for company, and to teach him there's more to life than just pellets!

listing removed Bartolo and Marek (who relieve me with their presence, because I think they're Judy Garland and Liza Minelli from Fairfax County. It cracks me up that they are now cropping up as:) a father and son pair of guinea pigs. They were surrendered because the family had "no time for them." Poor piggies! I do not understand why they are impulse buys. Bartolo is daddy pig, and Marek is the son with the crest. These boars need a forever home, together, because there's no place like a forever home, jazz paws.

ADOPTED! Benedict and Collette are two pigs who fell in love in foster care. Benedict has been featured on this blog before, he is the adorable piggy on the right. Benedict was rescued from a local animal shelter, and he is a big, cuddly lug of a guy who loves to lounge around the cage, napping and eating hay. Collette is a small little lady who was abandoned after hours at an animal shelter in a cracked aquarium, which are NEVER appropriate for guinea pigs. These friends need a loving forever home where they can grow old together.
