LISTING REMOVED Midlothian (near Richmond), VA: Two year old male guinea pigs with a C&C cage available for rehoming due to life change and a child losing interest. They are active pigs who love to squeal and jump. They come with two food dishes, water bottle, pigloo and second hideaway, food and bedding for a reasonable adoption fee, as well as a book on guinea pig care, and a cage scoop. They also offer two cardboard carrying cases; it's better to invest in hard plastic carrying cases (these are safer in the event of an car accident).

GUINEA PIG LESSON: a no no from an otherwise extraordinary set up: they offer vitamin C water drops. It is NOT advisable to put vitamin C in the water, because it makes the water tastes bad and discourages the guinea pig from drinking as much (plus I forget the term, but the vitamin C is only actually effective in the water for the first five minutes, then it's just bad tasting water for the rest of the day). Your guinea pig should get enough vitamin C from a diet of fresh veggies, but if you're worried, Oxbow makes a Vitamin C tablet.

MD-Small Angels Rescue-Bonded Adult Males

Small Angels Rescue; Foster home network centering in Frederick, MD: Alwin and Darsy!

Alwin and Darsy are an adorable (matching), bonded adult pair of neutered male guinea pigs. Alwin is the boy on the left and Darsy is the boy on the right. They came to the rescue because their previous owner's roommates did not wish her to keep them. These boys have been well cared for since day one, enjoying healthy vegetables and unlimited hay. They are very bonded and must be adopted together.

Alwin recently went through a surgery to remove a cyst from the skin of his tummy, "it was not causing him any distress, but we prefer to have cysts removed in case they become a nuisance." Sounds smart!
