MD-Luna's House

This is great! A Luna's House member and I have been in communication and she supplied me with more accurate information about the organization. I extend the invitation for other VA/MD/DC shelters and rescues to send me event blurbs, promos, desperate calls for supplies, etc., and most likely I'll post them. Below is info about Luna's House, straight from the guinea pig's mouth.

Luna’s House is an all-animal rescue that works with small mammals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and rats, as well as with cats, birds, and reptiles. Luna’s House is currently composed of a network of foster homes, but plans are underway for a central facility in Harford County, MD. Luna’s House works with other local and regional groups and shelters to save as many lives as possible.

The more Foster Care Providers Luna’s House has, the more fur babies they can help! If you are located in Harford, Baltimore, or Cecil counties in Maryland or are otherwise pretty close by, please contact Info@lunashouse.org to obtain a foster care application and more information about Luna’s House. You can also visit www.lunashouse.org to find out more!

As for their guineas:

ADOPTED! C'mon people! How is Elvis not adopted yet? His crooning-wheeks could have been melting your heart as we speak. He's a small youngin' with a great crest.

ADOPTED! There are two more small young boars whose pictures and profiles aren't up yet, but don't forget about Marty and Danny!

* AAGP recommends quarantining any new guinea pigs
for 2-3 weeks and confirming the sex yourself.
Many sad accidents or "accidents" can be avoided this way. *

Take two: Thank you for posting them! I actually featured them many pages back here: http://adoptaguineapig.blogspot.com/2007/10/va-virginia-beach-spca-5-guinea-pigs.html . They're so wonderful though, they deserve featuring twice.
