VA-Craigslist-Two entries

*If responding to an ad by an individual, meet in a public place
or go with a friend. Google the phone number of the poster to

ensure it matches the name he or she gives *

LISTING REMOVED. Portsmouth, VA: Two friendly but timid short haired guinea pigs being rehomed (Boy or Girl?), come with cage, bedding, water bottle, food dish, food, timothy grass, vitamin drops=don't put them in the water. And a quote from the ad that is very classic of many parents who purchase guinea pigs for their kids, without expecting to be sole caregivers: "I purchased for my daughters to teach them some responsibility, but it backfired and my wife has to do the maintaining. They are healthy and happy, just don't feel the kids deserve them." What about what the guinea pigs deserve?

LISTING REMOVED. Stafford, VA: Thunder is a white and gray guinea pig who is a very nice fellow, but is being rehomed because he does not get along with the poster's other pigs. He comes with his cage, water bottle, and some food. He eats out of your hand.

* AAGP recommends quarantining any new guinea pigs
for 2-3 weeks and confirming the sex yourself.
Many sad accidents or "accidents" can be avoided this way. *
