MD-Small Angels Rescue

Small Angels Rescue is a network of foster homes caring for small animals, including guinea pigs. They are always looking for foster homes, so click on the link if you're interested. They are also looking for Twilight Homes for special needs or sanctuary piggies. This is a great opportunity-I do the same thing for MGPR.You care for a piggie who is not suitable for adoption because of medical needs, but Small Angels provides vet care, a cage, and other supplies. The foster parent provides food, bedding, and loving attention to the guinea pig. It's a way to foster for piggies who really need it, but you won't have to part with the pig after getting attached.

ADOPTED! Ace is an amazingly photogenic piggie. I think he was a male model in a past life. Or this one! The poor guy is six months old and was left in a box outside a shelter. He is a sweetie who loves to zoom around. He should go to a home with another piggie. If you have a gal piggie you could make a handsome couple by bringing Ace to his forever home-yours!



LISTING REMOVED. (now paired with another pig) I love Brent! He's an adult who was rescued from an animal shelter. Before coming to the shelter he lived alone, in a child's room, in a too small cage. Poor guy! It is so important to keep a cage in a main room, and never in a young child's room. He is thriving in the excellent care of his foster home-imagine how wonderful he'll be in his forever home. Brent's ear somehow got ripped in two-it has since healed. This doesn't speak to a very good past. Help him have a wonderful future!




LISTING REMOVED. Pedro and Salamon are amazing looking guinea pigs. Look at the dewlap on Salamon. I've never seen one like this: Salamon is one of the best looking guinea pigs I've seen. I just want to hold this guy to my chest and give him chinnies. These poor boys thought they found their forever home, but they were returned because their owners moved to a country that had a six month quarantine. Poor Pedro is a special needs Piggie because of dental issues (see his link for details). They love to popcorn and play, and love their veggies. Salamon is really outgoing, and Pedro is a bit more laid back. They love laptime-it is a valuable thing to have TWO guinea pigs who love lap time.


LISTING REMOVED. Sinbad and Corsair (in addition to having awesome names) are described as a "sweet and spunky pair of boys." Corsair (left) is a texel, and Corsair (right), is a crested. What unique guineas! They like play time and are people friendly. Both boys are neutered, which is great for their longterm health.



Vince is another lap piggy. He loves to be scratched behind his ear and loves his veggies. He is laid back and cuddly, and 18 months old. He is looking for a piggy friend, and since he's neutered, he would make a great match with a lady piggy. UPDATE: The poor guy is now special needs. He needs medicine for some kidney problems, but doesn't really exhibit symptoms.
