VA-Cave Spring Piggie Rescue Guineas

Cave Spring Piggie Rescue is a rescue run by employees of a veterinary clinic. The rescue is based in Roanoke, VA. They receive their guineas from shelters, where the guineas then get medical checkups and treatment. Check out their site if you're interested in fostering as well!

ADOPTED! I think Dooney is so beautiful. Those markings are amazing. If anyone reading this adopts her, please send me pictures! The poor girl has had a hard time. Her owner died, and she and her sister were found by animal control. Her sister passed away as well. Poor Dooney! She is spayed, and described as "very sweet and kind." Dooney is two years old.

LISTING REMOVED. Jo Jo is probably the brother of Powder, pictured below. He's very sweet and easy going, but might need some time before he opens up completely in his forever home.

Powder is a medium sized adult who is social and people friendly. He is learning about proper veggies, and thriving in his foster home!

LISTING REMOVED. Speedy and Dale are two sweetheart boys. They came in to the rescue when they were three weeks old, and are now about six months. They were born to a pregnant pet store piggie, and the owner responsibly found a place for them at the rescue instead of giving them back to the store. A member of the rescue said "They are fantastic little guys, very social, kind and get along great."

Sprinkle
doesn't have a picture up yet. He is one year old and came from a shelter. He loves floortime and is very social. He always seems happy--he sounds like the perfect guinea pig! The poor boy has chunks missing out of his ears; he can't have had a happy past. This can be one of the results of overcrowding guinea pigs in a too small cage. They recommend him for an experienced guinea person.
